I earned my teaching degree in 1967, and began my teaching career in Poudre School District in Fort Collins and continued teaching there for 40 of my 42 years. The other two years I taught in Berlin, Germany at the John F. Kennedy School. Needless to say, I loved my career as a teacher.

I married Joe Parker in 1985, and also gained two step- children, Laura and Jeff.   Both kids are married. Laura and Henry live in Raleigh and have two kids, Anneka (6) and Rhys (2). Jeff and Pam live in Atlanta and have one little boy, Finnegan (6 months). We love being grandparents.

After Joe got out of the Air Force, and after being in my classroom some, he decided to get his teaching degree. We actually taught 6th grade together for 9 years in Fort Collins. I retired from teaching in 2009, and we then sold our home and moved to Berlin, Germany where we still reside. Joe is now teaching at the John F. Kennedy School. Europe was not new to us as we had led many tours there and had had four exchange students. One of our exchange students lives in Berlin and is like a son to us.

Visitors are always welcome, and we have had many! I come home fairly often to see my amazing mother who is still doing great, and to visit the rest of my dear family and friends.
