1963: Graduated HS and went to work for State Farm Insurance Company’s main headquarters in Greeley, CO.
1965: Married Brent Page
1967:
- In September I quite working at State Farm & moved to Denver so Brent could do his Student Teaching
- November 13th our first child (Christine) was born.
- In December Brent Graduated from UNC and already had a substitute teaching job in Denver.
1970: Our second child (Eric) was born.
1967 – 1990: Enjoyed being a wife and mother along with the following:
1974: Started singing with Sweet Adelines, which is the women’s barbershop society
1976: Formed a Sweet Adeline quartet called Sky Country Showcase that would be together for the next 9 years winning contests and singing at various venues throughout the metro area.
1980: Switched Sweet Adeline Choruses and joined High Country Chorus with 110 members that would go on to win two International SA Contests: 1980 in Atlanta Georgia and 1986 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
1990: The children were now grown and educated, so it was time for some changes for me. I took a leave from Sweet Adelines and the part time transcription work I had been doing for the State of Colorado and went to work full time for the next 20 years as an account executive for Conference and Management Specialists.
1999: Re-joined Sweet Adelines to sing with the 150 member Skyline Chorus that has been placing somewhere in the top five internationally since the late 1990s.
2000: The first of our four grandsons was born.
2009: We moved to our dream retirement home
2010: Retired from Conference & Management Specialists
2011: Elected to the Board of our Home Owners Association
2012 & 2013: President of our Home Owners Association
2013: Happy to be joining so many of my classmates in the celebration of our 50th class reunion.
